Event Art Director

This is 30th Year Gala for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago designs. I conceptualized the direct and took on all production designs including print ads, digital ads, email campaigns, illustrations, invitations, and a microsite within aidschicago.org. Also contributing to the Art Direction for the Gala video with Tandem Pictures in NYC. From start to finish this project took about a year to create, raising over $400,000 dollars for HIV/AIDS in Chicago.

Working with Event Designers

Working with Kehoe Designs to ensure the interior design is completely parallel to the advertising, web design, and even invitation that was put out prior.

Managing In-house Design

Managing our outsourced designers to make sure all designs were how I envisioned and that everything was that was completed was consistent and most importantly, on time.

Event Photography

The day of the event one of our hired photographers could not make it. So I volunteered to shoot the event most of the night. See below for the gallery.

Project Goal

Video Project with Tandem Pictures

I wanted the video to show lots of illustrative transitions with the vintage imagery we have of Chicago. Working with the geometric aesthetics that I had initially created. The main goal of this video was to not only be visually intriguing but so be as informative as possible, to show to our possible donors how crucial their donations are and what it’d be used for.
